Do not place critical text, logos or other important information closer than 20 mm to the left and right edges or 25 mm to the top and bottom edges of your artwork. Extend background colours and images to the full cut size. The hem allowance is already included.
Setting up your artwork
Use the cut dimensions above as your document size, once we’ve confirmed compatibility with your stand.
- CMYK colour mode
- Design and export in CMYK. RGB and Pantone colours may change when converted for printing.
- 150 dpi or higher at full size
- Use images with an effective resolution of at least 150 dpi at the final printed size. Check image quality at full size before sending your artwork.
- PDF preferred
- Supply a print-ready PDF. Embed linked images and fonts when exporting. If supplying an editable design file, embed linked images and convert text to outlines to avoid missing images or substituted fonts.
- No extra bleed required
- Set the document to the calculated cut size. Extend backgrounds to every edge, but do not add extra bleed beyond these dimensions. Keep important content within the safe margins stated above.
Working at a reduced scale?
Keep the artwork proportional and clearly include the scale in the filename, for example “Back wall – 50 percent scale.pdf”. Increase image resolution to allow for enlargement: use at least 300 dpi at 50% scale, or 600 dpi at 25% scale, to achieve 150 dpi at full size.
Simply increasing a low-resolution image’s dpi setting will not restore missing detail. Start with the highest-quality original images available.
These artwork sizes are calculated for standard Octanorm-type shell schemes. As part of the production process, we’ll check that the sizes are suitable for the particular shell scheme you’ve booked.
Obtain a specification sheet from your show organiser or stand contractor, then complete our compatibility form so we can check the details and confirm your final artwork sizes.
Check your stand before ordering →How we calculate your sizes
Each metre bay has a 950 mm panel opening. Add 40 mm for every intermediate post, then 20 mm total for the two side hems.
Width = (bays × 950) + ((bays − 1) × 40) + 20 mm.
All cut heights are 2325 mm, with approximately 2275 mm visible. Keep key content 20 mm from each side and 25 mm from the top and bottom.
For a continuous graphic, we add the adjoining wall lengths and apply the formula once. For separate graphics, we apply it to each wall individually.
A starting point, checked by real people. Final sizes and wraparound suitability must be confirmed against your organiser’s stand specification before preparing artwork or ordering.
Your next step: let us check the fit
Before buying, we recommend completing our compatibility form with the specification from your organiser or stand contractor. Wait for our confirmation of compatibility and final graphic sizes before placing your order.
